After an incredible year of growth at We Care WA, our directors took a long-awaited twoweek break to recharge. But what began as a holiday soon became something far more meaningful.
Aaron, alongside his wife Ginalyn, travelled into the mountains of Negros Oriental in the Philippines, carrying a vehicle full of donated supplies for a local school supporting children living in poverty. This school, founded in 2007 by Mr and Mrs Park from South Korea, stands as a powerful example of compassion in action.

Built from the ground up through determination, sacrifice, and faith, the school has supported more than 5,000 students over the years. Located in one of the region’s most disadvantaged areas, it not only provides education but also offers boarding and daily meals—creating a safe
and nurturing environment for children who might otherwise go without.
Meeting Mr and Mrs Park was both humbling and inspiring. Their story is one of resilience and purpose—two individuals who saw a need and dedicated their lives to meeting it.
However, as they approach their 70s, they shared that many of their original supporters are no
longer in a position to contribute, making ongoing support more challenging.

We Care WA was honoured to contribute by donating essential supplies and, more importantly, by building a connection we intend to continue. This is not a one-time gesture, but the beginning of an ongoing relationship.

One of the most unforgettable moments was joining the students during their assembly. Their warmth, gratitude, and joy—expressed through song—left a lasting impression that words can hardly capture.

To be in a position, just 14 months into our journey, where we can give back to a community making such a profound difference, is something we are deeply proud of.
Mr and Mrs Park, the staff from We Care WA salute you. Your legacy is changing lives every single day.
